Neil Wenner obtains defense verdict for gynecologist in jury trial held in Schuylkill County

The verdict was returned within 20 minutes.   The case involved a hysterectomy that was performed on a  43 year old patient and the removal of both ovaries.  Plaintiff claimed the physician was negligent for removing both ovaries because the ovaries were not diseased.  Defense argued that both ovaries had multiple hemorrhagic cysts requiring removal and that if the ovaries were not removed, the patient would have likely suffered continuing and worsening symptoms, possible complications and possibly an additional surgery.
